Gypsy Witches

Art direction and design of the book for Silvia Prio’s photographic project Gypsy Witches. Through photographs, it retraces a journey across Romania to the Moldovan border, in search of the legend of witches among Romanian Roma communities. Blending artistic and documentary approaches, the project explores this mysterious folklore, as well as the rituals, relationships, and practices of a women-led community living in a small village in Romania. Solæ typeface is used for the text, with a custom version designed for the title.
